People who do not Spay and Neuter...Where are their hearts?

If you know anyone who owns a pet shop, or breeds dogs or cats, please send them this video.

How could pet shop owners who do not spay and neuter, who get their animals from puppy farms, call themselves animal lovers? How can a person supports these shops, call themselves animal lovers? Ask them if they have ever seen an animal put to sleep because no one wants them?

I welcome comments here, from these people, for I truely don't understand their hearts. -Rachel

Hi Rachel-

I do not believe that people who responsibly breed their pets are heartless. People who breed without regard to health and temperment, and who do not commit to each animal throughout its life, are irresponsible in my opinion.

Using your logic, there would be no more purebred dogs. Many of us do not use animals for their working purpose anymore. But certainly labs, for example, from the right lineage, and with the right training make great service dogs. And herding dogs know how to do their thing.

I am not saying that a shelter dog isn't a great pet, but remember that most of them are products of irresponsible breeding.

It is possible to own an intact dog, and be a loving animal owner.

Sorry- first post got cut off.

I also wanted to say that I work in a shelter and can understand your frustration, but universal spay/neuter is NOT the answer. It all comes down to being responsible and loving to all animals.
