Bald Eagle Blessings
As my final preperations begin to head back down to New Orleans, my husband headed out to an auction. He qucikly came back in and said two words, "Bald Eagle." I grabbed my camera and snuck back outside with him. My hair was wet, I had no shoes on, and I surpressed the cough that gurgled in the depths of my chest. There he was, across the creek on the island. It appeared as if he was eating something. Three crows badgered him, but he paid no attention.
He looked at us, "Go with my blessings. May you have the freedom to work for the spirit of all animals."
Two or three of us will begin heading back down on the 3rd. Without the support of our friends and family, none of this could be possible. With out all the work of every person along the way, none of these animals would have a chance. Thank you to the rescuers, the managers at the rescue operations, the people who transporter the animals to the holding shelters, the people who walk the animals, feed the animals, the cooks who feed us all, the people who donated money for supplies, the people who bring in the supplies, the vets!, the people who photograph and post the animals on petfinder, the people who run petfinder, the people and shelters who foster the animals, the people who update petfinder again, the people who search for people who lost their animals, the people who take in the surrendered animals, the people who do the transportation to reunite the animals! You are all very special in my heart! The animal spirits bless you!
